H&M Atelier Pre-Fall 2026: A More Considered Way to Dress
H&M Atelier’s Pre-Fall 2026 collection takes a measured approach to menswear, shifting the focus towards lighter layers, relaxed proportions and pieces designed to work between seasons.
The collection’s strongest proposition is its outerwear. A mid-length leather utility jacket references the field jacket without becoming overtly archival, while a cropped cotton gabardine jacket, single-breasted blazers and overshirts give the wardrobe a more adaptable structure.
Denim is similarly restrained, with dark indigo five-pocket jeans and an overshirt bringing a cleaner edge to casual dressing. Fine-yarn, sheer knitwear introduces a slimmer layer beneath the collection’s looser silhouettes. Trousers are wider through the leg and designed to pool slightly at the ankle, with belts providing definition. Leather loafers and a messenger bag push the overall wardrobe towards a polished return-to-work proposition.
The colour palette moves from summer’s cooler tones into greys, soft beige and deep navy, with olive and khaki appearing through gingham checks and a painterly botanical print.
“Pre-Fall 2026 is about a kind of focused restraint — pieces that feel genuinely lived-in and effortless but are underpinned by attention and craft,” says Ana Hernández, Menswear Designer at H&M Atelier.
For H&M Atelier, the appeal is less about reinvention than recalibration: familiar menswear codes, adjusted through proportion, texture and fabrication.
