Barbour x norbit Brings Japanese Utility to British Fieldwear

Barbour and Japanese label norbit by Hiroshi Nozawa have joined forces for their first collaboration, bringing British outerwear heritage and Japanese technical design together for an AW26 menswear capsule.

The collection takes Barbour’s familiar fieldwear vocabulary into more technical territory, covering outerwear, knitwear, shirting, trousers and accessories. Its guiding idea is norbit’s “Field, Travel, Chill” approach, with pieces designed around layering, utility and movement between outdoor and everyday settings.

Outerwear is where the collaboration makes its strongest case. A wool jacket reworks the Barbour Bedale in checked Moon’s wool, while two waxed styles push the classic Barbour format in different directions. The Long Waxed Jacket adds a drawcord waist and detachable hood; the Ripstop Waxed Jacket introduces a stand collar and roll-out hood. There is also a quilted jacket and a 3-in-1 Casual Jacket built around a detachable inner vest.

Elsewhere, the collection moves into oversized corduroy trousers, checked shirts, funnel-neck wool knitwear and a boucle cardigan with reinforced detailing. Accessories include the Barbour x norbit 2-in-1 Drywax Vest, which converts from a carry bag into a wearable gilet, alongside a waxed Carpenter Cap.

The collaboration is available in limited quantities now through Barbour, norbit and selected wholesale partners.
