ALO Launches Its First Sunglasses Collection, Bringing Studio-to-Street Style to Eyewear
ALO has built its reputation on a modern interpretation of activewear — clothing designed to move between the studio, street and everyday life without compromising on style. Its first sunglasses collection extends that philosophy into eyewear, introducing six new silhouettes that combine Japanese craftsmanship with the brand’s understated approach to contemporary luxury.
Designed in Los Angeles and handcrafted in Japan, the collection focuses on wearable shapes rather than novelty trends. The six frames — Rectangle, Oval, Cat Eye, Wire Frame, Aviator and Speed — cover familiar eyewear territory while adding ALO’s own clean, fashion-led perspective.
Each frame is produced using premium Takiron acetate, a material valued for its durability, depth of colour and polished finish. The collection also features custom palladium and gold-plated hardware on selected styles, with every pair undergoing a detailed hand-finishing process by Japanese artisans.
For men, the appeal lies in the versatility. The black and tortoise Rectangle and Oval frames offer classic options that work with tailoring, denim or casual weekend dressing, while the Aviator and Wire Frame styles introduce a more directional edge. The Speed silhouette taps into the current appetite for sport-inspired eyewear, balancing retro references with a sharper contemporary profile.
Prices range from £220 for the Speed frame to £310 for the Rectangle, Oval and Cat Eye styles. The collection is available from ALO.
