THIS AGREEMENT Lands in Paris
A new exhibition in Paris brings together art, design and spatial storytelling to explore how power operates behind closed doors. Presented as part of the MATTER and SHAPE (hors les murs) programme for 2026, THIS AGREEMENT is staged in the Project Room of designer India Mahdavi and features a collaboration between Espace Aygo and artists Billy De Luca and Nicolas Zanoni.
The exhibition constructs a series of imagined decision-making environments—spaces where authority is performed, negotiated, and quietly contested.
Rather than presenting finished outcomes, the exhibition suspends viewers inside the moment of deliberation. Think boardrooms without the verdict.
Across the installation, furniture and spatial arrangements become symbolic tools of power. Even the distance between objects carries meaning. The result is a visualised “deliberation chamber” where authority figures appear through the objects that represent them rather than the people themselves.
THIS AGREEMENT deliberately avoids referencing specific political events. Instead, it operates in speculation, focusing on the atmosphere surrounding decision-making. The choreography of bodies, the symbolism of objects, and the architecture that frames authority become the real subject.
