Peregrine AW26 Goes Further Afield
Peregrine takes its British outdoors and workwear foundations somewhere slightly different for Autumn/Winter 2026, introducing subtle references to the American West without losing sight of what the brand does best.
Further Afield brings together chunky knitwear, tailored shirts, waxed jackets and utilitarian separates, with the Western influence most apparent in the tougher, more functional pieces. British wool and other natural fibres remain central, reinforcing the collection’s emphasis on practical clothing designed for colder weather.
The collection also puts The Art of Making at the centre of the story, looking beyond the finished garment to the people, mills and manufacturers behind it. Now in its eighth generation of family ownership, Peregrine continues to work closely with British craftspeople, with the majority of the collection sourced and made in the UK.
That manufacturing heritage matters because Peregrine has been making practical clothing for more than 230 years. AW26 doesn’t attempt to reinvent that proposition. Instead, it broadens it, bringing a slightly more utilitarian, Western edge to familiar categories.
For menswear, the appeal is in the versatility. Knitwear, waxed outerwear and workwear can be layered rather than treated as specialist countryside kit, giving the collection an easy route from rural settings into the city.
The emphasis on natural materials is equally straightforward. British wool provides warmth and durability, while the wider collection is built around clothes intended to be worn regularly and kept for years.
