Clarks Originals and NN.07 Put a New Spin on the Wallabee and Desert Boot

Clarks Originals has teamed up with Danish menswear label NN.07 for the first time, bringing two distinct design perspectives to a pair of British footwear icons.

The limited-edition collaboration revisits the Wallabee and Desert Boot, retaining the silhouettes that have made both styles fixtures of menswear while introducing a handful of considered changes.

The NN.07 Wallabee takes a relatively restrained approach, swapping in premium full-grain cowhide leather and adding silver lace tips and bespoke NN.07 hangtags. The result is a more refined take on a shoe whose appeal has long extended beyond its original purpose, finding an audience across music, fashion and street culture.

The NN.07 Desert Boot, meanwhile, is where the collaboration gets more experimental. A distinctive cross-foot buckle strap, designed by NN.07, introduces an unexpected detail to the familiar profile without compromising the boot's recognisable shape.

It's an interesting pairing. Clarks Originals brings decades of footwear heritage and cultural relevance, while NN.07 approaches the project through its understated take on contemporary menswear, where familiar wardrobe staples are given a subtle design intervention rather than an unnecessary overhaul.

Titled Contrast in Conversation, the collection is built around that exchange between heritage and modern design. Neither silhouette needs reinventing; the appeal lies in what happens when a different design perspective is brought into the picture.
