A.P.C. x Barbour: British Outerwear Gets a Parisian Update for AW26
Barbour and A.P.C. have launched a new Autumn/Winter 2026 collaboration, bringing British outerwear and French utilitarian design into a single wardrobe. Available from 16 October, the capsule covers jackets, denim, knitwear, shirts and accessories, with the menswear offering centred on familiar Barbour silhouettes given a more contemporary treatment.
The Beaufort, Barbour’s classic men’s jacket first introduced in 1983, leads the outerwear selection. Across the range, A.P.C.’s influence comes through in the pocket construction, structural details and proportions, while traditional tartan linings, practical cuffs and removable hoods retain the functional character of Barbour’s designs.
The standout material is the return of Barbour’s archival Premium Thornproof Wax Cotton. Its denser weave provides additional structure and depth of colour, with dark sage and dark navy the exclusive shades for the collaboration. Like raw denim, the fabric is designed to develop a distinctive patina through regular wear, giving the jacket a finish that changes over time rather than remaining pristine.
The collection extends beyond outerwear into denim, including A.P.C.’s New Standard jeans and denim jackets, alongside knitwear and shirts. Waxed and tartan bags, caps and further accessories complete the offering, with heritage checks appearing across linings and selected detailing.
For A.P.C., known for its pared-back approach to everyday clothing and raw denim, Barbour provides a distinctly British foundation. The appeal lies in the material and construction: established jacket designs, practical detailing and fabrics intended to acquire character through use, rather than novelty for its own sake.
The A.P.C. x Barbour AW26 collection is available now online at Barbour and A.P.C., with selected pieces also available in stores.
