The Cinnamon Club Turns Back the Clock for Its 25th Anniversary

12–31 January — To celebrate 25 years of modern Indian fine dining, The Cinnamon Club returns to its roots with a limited-time Retro Menu, featuring original 2001 dishes at their original prices. From sweet potato cake with crisp okra to sandalwood-flavoured tandoori chicken and vindaloo of pork chop, the menu is a culinary time capsule housed in the Grade II-listed former Westminster Library — a rare chance to revisit the dishes that helped redefine Indian dining in London.

Dry January, Done Properly at Sweeties, The Standard

The collaboration explores migration, memory and maize through flavour, storytelling and shared technique, making this one of January’s most culturally resonant dining events.

Robin’s Ramen at Supermarket of Dreams

Throughout January, Robin’s Ramen serves deeply comforting bowls paired with £1 half pints at Supermarket of Dreams in Holland Park. Led by Robin Kosuge, formerly of Michelin-starred Dorian, the menu spans clean shio ramen to indulgent duck and beef variations, with thoughtful sides and a produce-driven ethos. Fortnum & Mason Presents: The Pantry

January–March — Fortnum & Mason’s Food & Drink Studio launches The Pantry, a forward-thinking programme exploring how cupboard staples shape the way we cook and live. Featuring chefs, writers and tastemakers including Becky Excell, Nisha Parmar and Owen Morgan, the series blends sustainability, culture and practical cooking insight — positioning the pantry as both a personal and political space.

Lunar New Year 2026 at China Tang, The Dorchester

Welcoming the Year of the Horse, China Tang celebrates Lunar New Year with symbolic décor, traditional Lion Dances and a special menu of auspicious Cantonese dishes rooted in prosperity and renewal. Set within the restaurant’s glamorous 1930s Shanghai-inspired interiors, the celebrations combine ritual, refinement and exceptional cooking — from Lo Hei salads to whole Dover sole and celebratory desserts.

19–25 January — Mayfair’s historic Connaught Grill pays tribute to Robert Burns with a refined five-course menu celebrating the depth and character of the Scottish larder. Curated by Executive Head Chef Ramiro Lafuente Martinez, the week-long offering pairs premium Scottish produce with drams from Aberfeldy Distillery, from glazed haggis dumplings and cured salmon gravlax to Highland venison with whisky cream sauce and a classic cranachan finale. Priced at £140pp, with an optional £280pp drinks pairing; on 22 January, the Burns menu takes centre stage exclusively.

Pavyllon London Launches the Capital’s First Michelin-Starred Breakfast Tasting Menu

From 10th January, Pavyllon London at Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane is rewriting the rules of morning dining with London’s first Michelin-starred breakfast tasting menu. Created by Executive Chef Benjamin Ferra y Castell under the guidance of Yannick Alléno, the five-course experience (£70pp) is served at the restaurant’s elegant counter, placing guests at the heart of the kitchen. Expect refined morning theatre, from bespoke amuse-juices and seasonal bakery creations to signature dishes such as the weekly chef’s special or a classic Eggs Royale, finished with Pavyllon’s famed French toast and a take-home gift of Yannick Alléno chocolates.
