Daniel Simmons Presents AW25
Daniel Simmons has unveiled his AW25 collection, a considered blend of heritage workwear and modern refinement. The designer continues to build on his quietly assured aesthetic with a lineup that favours strong silhouettes, tactile finishes, and a confidence in understated details.
Outerwear takes centre stage. Waxed cotton jackets, milled and coated by British Millerain Co, are designed to develop a distinct patina over time, ensuring that no two pieces look the same. A sage green cashmere overcoat, cut in England from Italian-spun fibres, shows Simmons’ ability to balance utility with luxury. Elsewhere, denim remains central to the brand’s wardrobe. Jackets distressed by hand in Italy and put through multi-stage washes achieve the kind of natural fade that usually takes years to perfect, lending individuality to every piece.
Tailoring, too, finds its place in AW25. The brand’s Soft Handle pleated trousers return, crafted in Portugal from Italian suiting cloth with a garment-washed finish that brings a fluid drape to a traditionally formal piece. Herringbone suiting reworks utilitarian forms into refined, wearable tailoring that sits comfortably alongside Simmons’ outerwear staples.
Knitwear continues the brand’s focus on weight and finish. Five-gauge merino sweaters are cut with dropped shoulders for a relaxed silhouette, while intarsia lambswool knits explore seamless graphic detailing. Simmons also reinterprets military classics, introducing modernised knits with tonal appliqué that reference functionality without leaning into nostalgia. Even jersey receives elevated treatment: heavyweight loopback sweatpants, knitted and dyed in England, offer a dense structure designed to stack cleanly when worn.
The colour palette grounds the collection in earth and mineral tones — forest green, antique brown, slate, and navy — offset by washed indigo, cream, and a bold cobalt. Techniques like garment dyeing and surface patination run throughout, ensuring a lived-in texture that gives each piece subtle individuality.
Production across England, Italy, and Portugal reinforces the collection’s commitment to longevity and craft. Small runs emphasise quality over volume, underscoring Simmons’ approach to design as something built to last, rather than to follow trend cycles.
