Berluti’s Stellar: The Sneaker Reinvented for the Modern Gentleman

2 min read

There are sneakers, and then there’s Berluti’s Stellar. First introduced in 2019 under Kris Van Assche, the model was always meant to toe the line between craftsmanship and cool – the kind of shoe you could wear with confidence in the boardroom or at a weekend gallery opening. Now, for 2025, the Maison returns to its standout sneaker with a sharp eye on comfort, function and form.

If you’ve been watching Berluti over the years, you’ll know the house doesn’t follow trends. It reinterprets them – slowly, deliberately, with an artisan’s precision. The new Stellar isn’t a reinvention for reinvention’s sake. It’s a refinement of everything that made the original a quiet classic. The angular toe gets a softer silhouette. The signature bevelled sole remains, but the heel has been engineered for better shock absorption and smoother movement. In short, it’s still the Stellar – just sharper, sleeker and significantly more wearable.

One of the most noticeable changes this season? Fit. Thanks to newly placed cushioned padding – particularly around the heel and tongue – the Stellar now lends itself to sockless wear, bringing a new level of ease for those who live in tailoring by day and off-duty casuals by night.

The uppers are still rich, patinated leather – Berluti wouldn’t have it any other way – but they now feature a laser-engraved Scritto motif and a softer treatment that speaks to the brand’s pursuit of elegance without rigidity. The result is a sneaker that moves with you, literally and stylistically.

Colourways cover the essentials: Abisso (a deep, inky blue), Marrone Intenso (a rich brown), and Iron Grey (understated but no less impactful). The palette is smart enough to slot into a summer suiting wardrobe and relaxed enough to work with selvedge denim or tailored shorts. The Stellar doesn't dictate a look – it supports one, whether you’re off to a client lunch or heading out for cocktails on the Riviera.

At its core, this is Berluti doing what Berluti does best: merging luxury craftsmanship with understated flair. It’s confident, considered and thoroughly modern – the kind of sneaker that earns its place in a man’s rotation not with logos or gimmicks, but with craftsmanship you can feel and style you can rely on.

The Berluti Stellar launches in-store and online this July. Consider your summer footwear sorted.
