Dishoom Is Going All Out for Diwali 2026
Dishoom and Permit Room are celebrating Diwali 2026 with their biggest programme yet, bringing together supper clubs, late-night parties, live music and creative events across London, Birmingham and Brighton.
The celebrations begin in Birmingham on 2 November, when Dishoom returns to Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery for an evening of South Asian music and creativity curated by BBC Asian Network. Tickets cost £35, including a vegetarian or vegan feast, chai and mehendi.
Food takes centre stage again on 3 and 4 November, as Dishoom welcomes Michelin-starred chef Vikas Khanna of New York restaurant Bungalow for two supper clubs at its Shoreditch and Canary Wharf cafés. Joined by Dishoom chef Arun Tilak, Khanna will serve a feasting menu featuring House Black Daal, Makhani Kofta and Bungalow’s Spice-Roasted Pineapple Curry. Tickets are £60 per person, including a soft-drinks pairing and an item from a limited-edition collaboration featuring a shacket, T-shirt, cap and mithai box.
On 5 November, Dishoom Borough hosts the brand’s annual London Diwali party. Running from 7pm to 11pm, the evening will feature food stations, DJs, dancing, mehendi, late-night games and a photo booth. Tickets cost £25 per person.
Borough will also provide a backdrop for artist Chila Kumari Singh Burman MBE, whose neon installations will illuminate the café’s façade from late October until the end of December. Drawing on Bollywood, South Asian popular culture and her Punjabi heritage, the works extend the celebrations beyond the restaurant itself.
From 6 to 8 November, the café will host a series of workshops, including a chai gathering, a zine-making session and family-friendly Diwali storytelling.
The programme concludes in Brighton on 12 November, when Permit Room takes over the Royal Pavilion for an evening of drinks, a vegetarian three-course feast and live music from The Mehfil Space. Tickets cost £85 per person, with just 90 available.
Dishoom will also serve Bungalow’s Spice-Roasted Pineapple Curry across its cafés from 2 to 15 November, alongside a Diwali Feast Set Menu for two. Permit Room’s celebrations extend to a Malai Kofta and Lachha Naan special.
