M&S Brings Bespoke Tailoring to the High Street with New Oxford Street Service
Bespoke tailoring has traditionally belonged to Savile Row and luxury ateliers, but M&S is making a compelling case for bringing made-to-order suiting to the high street. Launching exclusively at its newly refurbished Pantheon flagship on Oxford Street, the retailer's first-ever Bespoke Suiting service offers a personalised tailoring experience without the lengthy waiting lists or four-figure price tags.
Starting from £350, customers can commission either a two-piece or three-piece suit, choosing from an extensive selection of fabrics, linings, buttons and trims to create something that reflects their own style rather than settling for an off-the-peg compromise. Inside the jacket, embroidered initials or a monogram add another layer of individuality.
Fit is, unsurprisingly, central to the proposition. The service is available in Slim, Tailored and Regular silhouettes, with an extended size offering beyond M&S's standard range. That broader sizing, combined with one-to-one fittings, should appeal to men who have struggled to find the right proportions on the high street.
Perhaps the most impressive detail is the turnaround. Each suit is delivered within 21 days, placing M&S among the fastest made-to-order tailoring services currently available. For weddings, workwear upgrades or anyone looking to invest in a better-fitting suit without months of waiting, that's a notable advantage.
The launch also signals a broader ambition for M&S Man. As menswear continues to move towards better craftsmanship and more considered purchases, offering bespoke tailoring in one of London's busiest shopping destinations positions the retailer as more than just a dependable destination for everyday essentials. It's a confident step into a space where personalisation, fit and value increasingly matter just as much as the label stitched inside the jacket.
