Terminal Velocity: DUKE + DEXTER x Cole Buxton

There was a time when airport style wasn’t engineered for paparazzi. It was instinctive. A camel overcoat over track pants. Sneakers with tailoring. A cap pulled low with a double-breasted suit. Think David Bowie moving through departures, Denzel Washington between flights, Nicolas Cage mid-transit. No stylist in sight. Just confidence.

That’s the departure point for DUKE + DEXTER x Cole Buxton, a limited-edition collaboration landing March 1st. The brief: capture the golden era of in-transit dressing and rebuild it for now.

The collection moves across premium footwear, sharp tailoring and elevated sportswear. At ground level, the Plus Duke Sneakers are handcrafted in Portugal, offered in chocolate suede and off-white leather-suede. Fully lined in Italian leather, they’re finished with perforated PLUS sidewalls and chunky laces—subtle flex, no noise. The Ezra Penny Loafers arrive in polished black leather or brown suede, Blake-stitched with 25mm rubber soles and cushioned in-socks. Traditional, but not precious.

Tailoring is where the collaboration sharpens its edge. The Dexter Suit is cut in England from dark grey wool-flannel, shaped in a relaxed London Drape silhouette that feels informed rather than nostalgic. The Duke Overcoat—a double-breasted camel style—is built for layering over everything from suiting to satin track pants. Which, incidentally, also feature.

Sportswear is handled with the restraint both brands are known for: satin track pants with appliqué side stripes, vintage-washed hoodies and tees with co-signed graphics, mesh shorts, suede accessories and a tight capsule of travel-ready headwear and leather goods. It’s the high–low equation, properly solved.

The collection launches first with exclusive in-store early access at Cole Buxton’s London flagship, complete with an evening event, music, drinks and limited collaborative merchandise. Global online release follows on March 1st via dukeanddexter.com.
