A tantalising taste of traditional Italy with a modern twist.
What's the vibe?
The word “stuzzico” is an Italian one that means to tease and tantalise and this location does just that. Café by day and restaurant by night, its a real hidden gem in central London and is tailor made for those that want a quiet spot of fine dining at lunch, away from the hustle of the streets.
What’s it really like?
The restaurant specialises in fine and fresh ingredients and high quality free range and organic meat. The menu also changes throughout the year to ensure that the best available seasonal produce is always on offer for the customer (or the critic).
Why should you go?
Because its a genuine Italian fine dining experience where the pasta is homemade on site and a wine list that is bursting with some of Italy’s best. Perhaps the biggest selling point for Stuzzico is the warm welcome and expert advice - staff that can choose wine to accompany your food, leaving you impressed and satisfied
What did we have?
We were lucky enough to enjoy Stuzzico at lunch where we feasted on a fresh and simple carpaccio and insalata starter and home made pasta wth lashings of Parmesan shavings. The portion was huge but if after the food and wine, you still have room for more (it its unlikely that you will) we would urge you to sample the superb homemade tiramisu which is perfect with an espresso. Food aside, we were highly impressed with the wine list which included rich red wines from Tuscany and refreshing white wines from Sicily, with everything in between and something to fit all tastes and every budget.
