UNIQLO Lands at Tate Modern with a Pop-Up That Marries Art and Style

For its 25th birthday, Tate Modern isn’t just throwing a party—it’s inviting one of fashion’s most democratic labels to set up shop inside. UNIQLO has opened a summer-long pop-up, the Uniqlo Tate Shop: Art For All, as part of the gallery’s anniversary celebrations, merging fashion, function, and fine art in one of London’s most iconic cultural spaces.

The collaboration marks another chapter in the long-standing relationship between the Japanese retailer and the institution. This time, the focus is immersive: from 5 May to 16 September, visitors to Tate Modern’s River Entrance can drop into a curated, 100-square-metre retail space on the first floor, where classic menswear essentials meet customisation and creativity.

Highlights include a tightly edited range of UNIQLO core pieces—think clean-cut tees, crisp shirts, and relaxed-fit staples—that can be personalised on the spot via UTme!, the brand’s digital customisation platform. Visitors can print their own designs or opt for limited-edition artwork prints from the Tate’s own collection. And in a particularly sharp crossover moment, British graphic design legend Peter Saville lends his hand to a bespoke embroidery design exclusive to the pop-up.

For fans of both fashion and culture, this isn’t just a shop—it’s a new way to wear your art on your sleeve. Quite literally. Whether you're a modern art aficionado or just after a perfectly cut white tee, Uniqlo Tate Shop: Art For All is where minimalism, creativity, and accessibility collide.

The pop-up runs until mid-September.
