This season, luxury tailoring house Thom Sweeney launches its first dedicated evening wear collection; limited edition designs that elevate traditional black tie with the brands signature attention to detail and traditional British design aesthetic.

Centred around luxury velvet evening jackets, each design is strictly limited in number, with less than 10 available of each in the Thom Sweeney London and New York stores.

Each evening jacket is made in Italy, is fully canvassed for a lightweight, form-fitting silhouette and is available in shades of bottle green, burgundy, navy blue and chocolate brown. The brown and blue designs showcase a new double-breasted silhouette, cut with generous shawl lapels and two buttons for an old world feeling of glamour.

As well as the velvet designs, there is a standout white corduroy evening jacket finished with navy braiding and satin covered buttons, which looks striking paired with midnight blue evening trousers and a superfine merino rollneck. To set the Thom Sweeney man apart this season, several of the collection’s evening jackets are styled with luxury merino or cashmere rollnecks – as opposed to a dress shirt and bow tie – for a contemporary, dynamic look.

For those that want more of a traditional traditional dinner suit, there are also single-breasted and double-breasted Tuxedos cut in midnight blue wool barathea, finished with Thom Sweeney’s exclusive midnight blue satin facings to match. These can be mixed with two different tartan dress trouser designs, one with dark green checks, and the other with burgundy.
