PANGAIA x GASIUS: Where Graphic Art Meets Sustainable Streetwear

2 min read

PANGAIA is back with another tightly curated artist collaboration, this time teaming up with cult UK graphic artist Russell Maurice—aka GASIUS—for a limited-edition capsule that fuses eco-conscious design with surrealist visual language. Landing in-store on 23rd May and online globally on 24th May, the six-piece drop distills the ethos of both collaborators: circularity, creativity, and quiet rebellion.

GASIUS, a fixture in the UK’s underground art circuit, brings his signature aesthetic—hand-drawn characters and layered symbolism—to the PANGAIA canvas. But this isn’t just about graphics for graphics' sake. It’s a considered reflection on nature as system, with interconnected leaves and organic shapes echoing ecosystems in visual form. “It started with a leaf. A super simple signifier of nature,” Maurice explains. “Then it became about the way they connect—each part of a system, fitting together.”

The result? A genderless capsule featuring a hoodie, sweatshirt and several tees, all made from upcycled 100% organic cotton and drawn from PANGAIA’s existing styles. The silhouettes follow the brand’s well-known formula—oversized, clean, unfussy—but the artwork introduces a new layer of storytelling. Look closely and you’ll see GASIUS illustrations screen-printed across chests, sleeves and backs, creating wearable statements that sit somewhere between streetwear and social commentary.

In keeping with PANGAIA’s Earth Positive approach, the collection is as sustainable as it is collectible. A first drop of just 100 limited-edition T-shirts will preview in-store at the brand’s Carnaby Street flagship and Selfridges London. The full global release follows online at pangaia.com with a wider run of hoodies and sweatshirts.

This is the latest in a series of artistic link-ups from PANGAIA—past collaborators have included heavyweights like Takashi Murakami and Es Devlin—but the GASIUS collection stands out for its raw edge. It taps into the current menswear mood for graphics with substance, merging design pedigree with street-level attitude. In a world drowning in logo-heavy drop culture, PANGAIA x GASIUS delivers a quieter kind of cool—one rooted in intention and execution.

For those tracking the evolution of environmentally conscious menswear, this capsule feels like a marker. It’s not just about materials or carbon offsets anymore; it’s about building community, telling stories, and treating fashion as a conduit between people and planet. On that front, GASIUS and PANGAIA speak the same language. And yes, everything really does fit together.
