Marks & Spencer introduce M&S Originals collection

Marks & Spencer has just released a new, M&S Originals collection, a curated range of 25 hero items. The new collection is made up of reimagined archive pieces, repurposed for 2021, focusing on sustainability and the brand’s unique British design. 

Designed around pieces from the M&S archive, fits have been made more modern, with considered details and an overall easy to wear style. Highlights include wool pleat trousers, a modern cut blazer in Harris tweed and loose fit recycled cotton denim. The waterproof leather Chelsea Boot is also reworked in a modern silhouette for an updated take on this classic wardrobe staple. Each piece from the collection is made with care, using more sustainably sourced materials including natural wools, organic cottons and recycled fabrics, linings, buttons and threads that have a low impact on the environment.

Knitwear, perhaps the category that Marks & Spencer is best known has been made from responsibly sourced pure merino and Lambswool and include modern loose fit cardigans, chunky Aran cable tanks and crewnecks alongside a fisherman Gansey, and a heritage fairisle.
