As Paris Men’s Fashion Week gets underway (digitally for the first time ever), Maison Mihara Yasuhiro evolve their silhouette for spring 2021.

That evolved silhouette adopts joining techniques whereby shirts and tops are two items are joined front and back complete with sleeves, and trousers that appear to have been imbedded into another pair, dissembled at the leg. It adds a whole new meaning to the “thrown together look”.

The new collection also boasts a new “spray on” series. After being sewn up, a hand spray technology is used at the long established Kyoto processing plant, to give a texture as if dyed. The result are clothes that are truly one of a kind, with a unique texture and an artisanal appeal. The playful approach, cutting up and then sewing together shirts and trousers is an original and interesting new directions for the label.
