dunhill SS24

dunhill has just presented its collection for spring 2024, laying the groundwork ahead of Simon Holloway’s AW24 debut as dunhill Creative Director.

This season embodies a distinctly British sensibility and a palpable sense of true luxury. dunhill has always been an exemplar of excellent craftsmanship and here, this is blended with a delicate and nuanced colour palette with a strong focus on materiality. Soft suede, leather and cashmere sit effortlessly alongside eveningwear and traditional tailoring cloths.

Refined and a celebration of louche formality with off-duty elevation, there are a number of hero pieces such as the classic navy blazer presented as a double-breasted, pique jersey, suede, and a fine midnight wool barathea evening jacket all showcasing the versatility of the collection. A dunhill icon, the Car Coat appears as a reversible, built from a double navy, puppy tooth worsted wool. With an extended length, a second version appears in a water-resistant, yet luxuriously soft, compact wool in a rich shade of vicuña.

Tailoring is a strong message in the collection, with lightweight and distinctly wearable, iterations seen throughout. More than just a classic two-piece suit, sartorial craftsmanship runs through the collection. A perfectly cut ‘cigar’ jacket, comprises a multitude of opportunistic pockets, while imbuing a bygone nonchalance.
