Led by the Two Michelin-starred Chef Tom Sellers, Dovetale is a haven for reimagined European classics, showcased through a produce-led a la carte menu. Sellers is best known for his ability to break convention and merge fine dining with forward thinking. A natural storyteller, he demonstrates the pleasure of pure, simple cooking, with nostalgia-stirring dishes that evoke memories and celebrate seasons. Diners were cool, unpretentious and there just to enjoy every morsel of the divine cuisine.

CUISINE

Dovetale boasts a menu that celebrates seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques. Each dish is a masterpiece, artfully presented and bursting with flavours that delight the palate. From delicate seafood creations to hearty meat dishes, there's something to satisfy every craving. Led by recommendations by the experienced team, we sampled the Warm Cornish crab tart which is a delightfully bold starter that combines cheese with blood orange, the Whole grilled sea-bream (a stunning combination of butter and Indian spices dominate a refreshing and light main) and a cooked-to-perfection 200g English Wagyu flat-iron steak (we loved the Café de Paris butter). While every dish at Dovetale is a testament to culinary excellence, several standouts deserve special mention. The Dover sole, delicately cooked to perfection and served with a fragrant herb butter, is a symphony of flavours that transports you to the shores of the Mediterranean.

Don't miss the opportunity to explore their selection of expertly crafted cocktails and fine wines, perfectly complementing the gastronomic journey. We were led by the expert sommelier Silvia who recommenced from a selection including Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs, white wine from Soutbosch in South Africa and 2021’s La Porte Saint Jean at Saumur-Champigny.
