Berluti AW24

For Fall-Winter 2024, Berluti re-contextualises high-end dress codes through its own distinct iconography. Over two chapters divided into four releases, a Fall-to-Winter transition is illustrated in intriguing shake-ups of traditional wardrobe components: leathers as light as fabric, formal shoes morphed with the functionality of hiking boots, bags woven in cashmere, and stripe and check motifs composed from the signature patterns of Berluti. Throughout, the iconography of the Maison – the Venezia leather, the Patina, the Scritto– redefines the familiar through an individualist approach.

The Fall proposal is rendered in an autumnal palette, workwear is raised to new heights in a cotton-silk-infused speckled denim suit as well as super-refined slim and regular denim trousers in rinse or medium blue. A denim-cut suede jacket features in orange, while lightweight suede blousons appear in bright blue. Throughout, the undercollars of jackets are lined in leather embossed with the Scritto pattern.

The Winter wardrobe amplifies the artisanal value of cold-climate staples in proposals interpreted in the chilly blues, greens, and greys of the arctic landscape. A fawn-coloured padded suede bombardier with a shearling collar and Scritto-debossed leather undercollar idealises a Winter essential. Fusing heritage and durability, a parka, gilet, and down jacket are crafted in wool expressed in greige herringbone with leather details. Jacket icons intensify in construction: a burgundy leather perfecto is garlanded with a shearling collar; a glacier blue quilted gilet in patinated leather incorporates a grainy leather shoulder panel; a grey “dégradé” herringbone blouson is knitted in cashmere; and the inside of a double-face unstructured cashmere gilet is adorned in the Scritto pattern. Cashmere knitwear materialises in pique-like or cable-knit textures, while the jacquard stripes of cotton-silk shirts are imagined in Scritto. Finally, the classic Berluti suede blazer makes a timeless appearance in moss green.
