Following a successful first year in the UK, Allbirds is set to open its second London store, which opens on 20 February.

Located on Marylebone High Street, the new space takes inspiration from neighbouring Regent’s Park and is testament to the brands dedication to using premium natural materials. To mark the special occasion, there is the launch of a UK only exclusive colourway as well a month long events programme that includes terrarium making, screen printing and a fermentation and pickling workshops.

The design of the store will display Allbirds’s signature minimalist shoes and socks, made from ZQ-certified Merino wool, sustainably sourced eucalyptus tree fibre and SweetFoamTM, made with Allbirds’s carbon negative green EVA solution, derived from sugarcane. The store will house quintessentially London touches; chairs will be painted in “Regent’s Park green”, the counter will reference Marylebone brick, tongue-in-cheek mirrors are shaped in the form of trees, and a park bench is perfectly positioned for weary shoppers. Allbirds’s unique forward-tilting chairs, present in all stores, have been designed by the company’s Head of Design, Jamie McLellan, a Tom Dixon alumni.

Continuing the park life theme, Allbirds has created an exclusive colourway which is only available for UK customers. The limited-edition Poppy, is part of the water-resistant Mizzle collection, which was designed in response to the drizzly British weather and launched last year to great acclaim. Customers can also get their hands on laces that have been inspired by the store’s Marylebone surroundings; Bakerloo Brown, Regent’s Park Green and Lord’s Cricket Whites.
