Allbirds labels every product with carbon footprint

Sustainable footwear brand Allbirds has announced that it is the first fashion brand to label evert product they make with a carbon footprint, allowing customers and other fashion brands to think about carbon in the same way they do calories.

A nifty Life Cycle Assessment tool has been developed with third party carbon experts to measure the carbon intensity of each process (from materials to development) to end of life. The long term goal is to change behaviours so that one day, shoppers will compare carbon numbers like they do nutritional labels in the supermarket.
