FRAGRANCE - JIMMY CHOO MAN
This autumn sees the release of the first fragrance for men from fashion house Jimmy Choo. Designed to be worn by the man on the arm of the Jimmy Choo woman, the debut scent can be best defined as belonging to that woody range of fragrances that include the likes of Tom Ford’s Oud Wood, Gucci’s Pour Homme and a particular favourite of mine; Wonderwood by Comme Des Garcons.
With a confident, sensual and romantic man in mind, the casting of Kit Harington (Game of Thrones) is an apt one, with his brooding expression and tousled curls. Harrington appears in ad campaign shot by Peter Lindberg at a Hollywood Hills mansion. It’s a slick and glossy campaign that suits the style of the scent – the musky, wood of the fragrance is not too overpowering, blended with sweeter notes of lavender, mandarin essence and pineapple leaf. Surprisingly fresh, there would be no harm in wearing this fragrance out day to day but it may be best suited to the evening.
From £29 for 30ml and available nationwide.
