HELEN ANTHONY LAUNCHES RTW COLLECTION
Last Thursday in the quiet, opulent luxury of London’s No. 41 in Mayfair, luxury men’s designer Helen Anthony launched an exclusive preview of their first ever ready to wear collection.
The collection blended traditional tailoring in a modern and sophisticated way. Inspired by the 70s and 90s, two fashion eras were merged together in his unique style of making full canvas garments without any adhesives, which introduced a modern silhouette to the collection.
Keeping things firmly best of British, the collection used all British suppliers for the pure wool yarn knitted scarves & jumpers, Nappa lamb and calfskin leather jackets and the lavishly tailored velvet suits. To be released just in time for autumn, the collection featured oranges, browns and greens in a retro and avant-garde way.
Styled by David Bartlett, models wore sunglasses from Italian brand Mondelliani and shoes (all excluding the Chelsea boots) from Carlo Pazolini. We caught up with David after the show who told us that key pieces for him included the double breasted suits, great overcoats and leather and calfskin jackets. He also picked out knitwear as a strong new category for the brand.
