DOMINGO RODRIGUEZ S/S '16
We have long been fans of Domingo Rodriguez and his latest collection for spring 2016 is one of his best yet.
The spring offering is as simple as ever, combining masculine ideals with subtle feminine details. The signature aesthetic of modernity, minimalism and luxury are as present as ever, this time with deceptively simple techniques to create a super clean look. Monochrome is always a strong feature of the collections each season. This season, new textures and finishes have been utilised to make it unique and directional.
Relaxed and directional at the same time, menswear staples like the denim jacket, parka and tailored blazer have been created in traditionally female floaty fabrications like silk georgette and crepe, skimming the body and highlighting (a hopefully buff) silhouette. The whole collection is enthused with a sense of delicacy, showcased most expertly with the incredible sheer silk button up shirt which is counter balanced by the sporty feel of the range with elasticated hem joggers, hooded jackets and metal hardware.
