UNIQUE SHIRTS BY TEK
A new project between creative agency New Future Graphic, menswear designer Timothy Everest and fashion/ design company Eley Kishimoto brings together these talents to present a unique direction in design, print and tailoring. The first project for the partnership is the shirt.
Taking this humble, everyday item as a starting point, the trio started by hand screening cotton shirting from the Eley Kishimoto design studio, which was then shaped and detailed by Timothy Everest tailors. The finished shirt is then manufactured and packaged under art direction from New Future Graphic.
The main focus of this enterprise is to bring a locally produced and crafted product to a global market.
However it also serves as a way to show off the creative talents of those involved – whether they are in print design, tailoring or packaging.
Turning to the shirts themselves they are a range of staples with a smart, printed twist.
The black and white graphic shapes piece is my pick of the collection.
The range is currently on exhibit at BOB, Johns Street, London and will be available to purchase from January 2015.
