The fashion industry has reacted with sadness with the news of the closure of one of our favorite fashion week brands
Started in 2008 by Cozette McCreery, Sid Bryan and the late Joe Bates the label announced the closure with a statement in which it was confirmed that the label is “on hiatus and liquidators have been appointed voluntarily to assist in winding down the business and studio.” Taking to Instagram, McCreery said “and it’s a goodnight from him and a good night from me” showing an image of the designers taking a bow after their AW17 show, an ode to London’s subcultures and Gaudi mosaics.
Sibling shows were always a riot. The models were consistently the best in the industry; the clothes were colourful, well cut and unashamed of showing off the male physique in the best way possible. They have always been a highlight of London Fashion Week Men’s and their sporty, knitwear styles, printed cardigans and over the top accessories will be massively missed by The Rakish Gent.
As a goodbye, we’ve picked some of our favourite images from seasons gone past.
