If you have ever sauntered around Vienna’s creative Neubau neighbourhood, you will know that it is urbane, authentic and the sort of place that young, trendy types hang out. It was also the inspiration for new eyewear brand Neubau - who have paid homage to the vibey area with the new range of glasses and sunglasses.
The brand has the aim to treat nature with respect and to find a way to encourage good design and craftsmanship whilst also focusing on the consumer and being able to offer him a unique and exquisitely designed product. To realise this goal, the focus at the brand is to look at high quality materials like stainless steel and lightweight polymer, that are also innovative and eco-friendly but modern at the same time.
Conception and production are both based in Austria which ensures that supply lines are short, and labour and environmental standards are high (it also means that savings are passed on to the buyer in the costs of the shades).
The designs themselves have a modern and definitely young feel - bold rims in red and green are for the more adventurous man that likes to make a statement with his shades. We feel that a more rakish gent would opt for a subtler model - the Toni model has a modern keyhole bridge in a gold accent whilst the Simon model is uncomplicated model that narrows your face shape and works really well with the contours of your eyebrows.
