MELINDAGLOSS @ OKI-NI
This spring, Oki-Ni have added Parisian brand Melindagloss to their already impressive list of designers.
Still a relatively young brand, Melindagloss is headed up by French duo Remi de Laquintane and Mathieu de Menonville, who met whilst studying philosophy at the prestigious Sorbonne university. Since its inception, the brand has established a place for itself in the contemporary menswear market for its understated aesthetic and for doing what The Rakish Gent loves; bridging the gap between low key and luxury.
Keeping things local, all of the suiting in the collection is tailored in Limoges, France whilst accessories & knitwear are made in Paris and Italy.
The theme of exploration was at the heart of the SS15 collection. The Melindagloss man is an adventurer in 50s style tailoring, donning African style prints with quirky, modern motifs.
