LOOK OF THE WEEK
"suit you sir!"
Summer is here and that means that wedding season is in full swing. Rakish gents all around the world will be getting invites from people that they barely know to days spent in the sweltering sun in a suit. With the avalanche of men’s suits now around to buy, it’s not easy to know what to wear. This week we show you how to look great at a summer wedding.
It pretty much goes without saying that the suit is the first stop. Reiss have a brilliant selection and this navy design (now on sale) boasts luxurious wool fabric and a contemporary fit. We would recommend that you keep away from fancy shirts and stick to classic white. Take a look at this white slim fit long sleeved design from River Island, which you will no doubt wear again and again.
It is the accessories that make a wedding look. We think that a tie can be overly stuffy at a semi-casual summer event but you still want to look “dressed up” so why not opt for a lapel pin instead? The rather inoffensive decoration attaches to the lapel of your lovely navy suits and makes for an incredibly rakish alternative to a tie. Take a look at Trend Him for a great selection including this cream rose design. Keep the shoes simple - we chose to dress this weeks rakish gent in dark brown brogues from New Look.
We've worked with this weeks featured illustrator before and it was an absolute pleasure to work with him again. William is a fashion illustrator based in Chile who started his own studio in 2012 after a career as a senior product designer. His work is a blend of symbolic elements with a surrealist aura combining handmade and digital techniques. Take a look at his website and follow on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
