DRAKE'S A/W '17
When you think of autumn do you think of superb chunky knitwear, windswept coasts and the layering of sumptuous and warm fabrics? Well if you do, you are not alone as the fine people at Drake’s had a similar vision for autumn in mind when developing the just dropped autumn collection.
Featuring model of the moment Richard Biedul, the look book is shot against the windswept terrain of the Shetland Islands where the landscape acts as the perfect backdrop for the colours and textures of the collection, as well as being the very environment where a number of the raw materials are sourced.
The autumn offering is full of rich fabrics in tailored silhouettes, soft shouldered jackets that are handmade in Italy from tactile Harris tweeds, worn with elegant cord and soft flannel trousers. Colour is also key with jumpers and caps presented in unexpected shades and a vibrant jolt to a typically sombre colour palette. And whilst the look book may present the collection in the rugged outdoors, there is plenty on offer for the city too - with sharp suits that are perfect for work.
